Another cold caller…
01517072125 (01517 072125) - from “Clear Contact” - an injury compensation company. The girl insisted it was not a “sales call” - but, of course, it is!
Guess what: If I have had an injury, I’d remember! And, if I believed I was owed compensation, I’d get in contact with someone! Thanks all the same!
I figured I should mention another call that we had a few weeks ago - from the “DFA” - Department of Financial Advisers. We were contacted by them trying to be sold a mortgage, and we listened - and probably gave one too many details that we’d like. Anyway, after the conversation, we were called back - repeatedly ! They claimed to be the DFA and also another company, but neither exist. They claim to be attached to a number of banks - but they’re not. The best I can see is this is a scam, and I would advice anyone against going with these guys. They will provide an address, if pushed, on “Regent Street” in London - but again, this doesn’t exist!
Oh, and they don’t obey the TPS. So do I want I did - play along, and along … and along … and then tell them what you know. They’ll most likely be oh so appologetic - but damn, why do these companies think they can get away with this?!

I wasn’t sure how to add to your list, but here’s another one that’s been calling every day for the last 3 days. There was someone there, but I cut them off this morning.

LOL ! u r so right, i am a Pakistani and i own a Call Center over here, let me tell you the ground reality of this business, I have been in the call center industry for 7 years now offering telesales and customer support services for various companies frm USA and UK! the bright side of the picture is the currancy we are getting paid in, which is an AMERICAN DOLLAR, $1 = 60 Pakistani Rs ! .. eh ! GOOD MONEY for us, so whatever we are offered, the higher the priceout is over the product, we start on selling it, now the issue is how to verify if the company is geniune or not, what we get is, we are approched by a broker or the company directly, they provide us with the calling database, calling leads, script to pitch to the customer and the rebuttals! We do our dilligence via mediums avalible over the net which obviously are limited but then again, that is our only source until we have a sister concern company in US to verify the company for us. I am currently selling mortgage too but my Loan Officers never asked me to get anything personal from the customer except the SSN number and DOB which obviously they need to find out that the customer is not an alien and is a pure american citizen who they can spend their time on helping them lower their interest rate. I will not say that you are wrong about ur judgements as most of the call centers in India and even Pakistan do get in the hands of scammers who take work from us and make us collect information offering high amount and then vanish without paying us, however to help keeping urself secure, always remember ! Don’t give out ur Credit Card Information or anything personal which can be used against you at any stage, SSN is not really something that can be harmful if one has it, obviously its just your ID number so nothing wrong in sharing that. also, make sure if the company name sounds legit and the company has a website and call back number. I am sure nobody can fool you until you let them fool you

I just received a call from ClearContact, and was presented with the same nonsense “not a sales call”.
however, they called a number that is private and never been told to anyone. So who is selling my data?
the lady was very rude as soon as i turned the conversation on her, asking her regarding the company she was calling from.
