Another annoying number!
And another number - 01563 551351 (01563 551351) called, which apparently is a scam/mobile phone contract company. Ignore them! Do not phone them back, it just gives them grounds to call more!
This number is also not mentioned much online so hopefully this’ll help out a few folk! Let me know new numbers that aren’t already on the list! 
As for the site - I’ve just moved house, business, etc - so I’m very busy sorting things out. As soon as I get a few hours I’ll continue on the database!

Yes I’ve been called by them as well… twice! Even after the first time when I asked them to remove me from the database. I phoned them back to inform them I was registered with TPS and they’re legally required to check that database before cold-calling, and they hung up on me. I phoned back again and spoke to the manager who insisted they were within their rights to call, but I’ve been given the address to find out who sold my information to them, and have also registered a complaint with TPS.

Good Work, Lily! It’s a shame that it’s usally a tedious process to take action on these numbers - usually much easier to simply forget it. And that’s how they get away with it time after time …
I also think witheld numbers should be totally removed - they allow cold-callers, scammers, etc, through any filtering system. It would make tracking down rogue cold callers far easier, even if it’s just to add to the list here so people are aware who’s been calling.

Thanks for posting this information. I have been called by this number twice in the last week and ignored it both times. Your database has saved me the bother of phoning them back. Like Lily I am also registered with the TPS and get fed up with companies ignoring the database. I will also look at registering a complaint

I have recived 4 calls frmo them in the last 4 days (mon, tues, wed, today) and 2 calls last week.
I knew who they were, and challenged the guy on monday about it.. Probably a mistake, as they’ve called me back 3 times more since
However, today i rang them up out of the blue, and offered them a better deal on their phone charges and monthly bills - I was giggling as i did it, but the guy on the end thought i was taking the mickey and hung up.
I called back (its not my phone bill) and asked them to remove my mobile number from their database and also advised they are breaking the law by calling a TPS registered number. He hung up.
I called. This time (about 5 minutes before writing this) he didn’t hang up - it was a different person, i assume, and he said my number would be removed from their database.
I’m not holding my breath…. as i asked that on monday too
hmm.. i wonder if my handset bars specific numbers…

What was the address they provided to you for you to see who had provided your details?
Also, to those who call back a number they don’t recognise…just put 141 before the number as it also works on mobiles.

Just had a call from these people. It rang once and they hung up. Hopefully it’ll be the last time as they perhaps realised I’m TPS registered before continuing. Good to know who they are and I’m not the only one though.

I’ve just phoned them as the telephone code is for the town of Kilmarnock which is 9 miles from here. No ringtone straight through to a guy called Darren who thought that HE had phoned me. When he gave me his speach I thanked him and then told him that I was with a better company and never to phone here again or he will be hearing from me.

Heres a new number that has phoned me since February 2007. As I have caller display and it holds over 100 calls I have looked at this number 01162492630, from a Company called Home Finance. They have phoned my number 243 times since February 2007. They phoned me after they somehow got my number, after I said if they could phone back in the morning, since then I haven’t answered. 243 times is this a Record!!!!

I finally answered so I could say “no it’s not convenient to talk to her but can you please take this number off your database..”
I got as far as “but” when they put the phone down!

01162492630 has been calling me on a daily basis - sometimes several times a day. It’s causing me to ignore my phone every time it rings because I don’t want toget into another inane conversation with them. However, this means I miss other potentially important calls. Any ideas on how I can stop them ringing. Does anything ever work?

01162492630 has also being calling my home number several times per day, almost on a daily basis………they can’t even get my name correct….they ‘claim’ that we’ve expressed an interest in this or that product, all of which is lies….obviously someone has sold them our details, as we’ve been part of the TPS for years now!

01162492630 has been calling my mobile twice a day for the past 3 weeks. At first i answered it but now i don’t. I have tried calling them but only get a recorded message, I think it says that AW home finance has tried to call you- blah blah blah.
I have know idea how they got my number.

Just found a miss call from this number 01563 551351 & have marked it in my phone book as SCAM, I only checked the internet to see the area it was from. but am pleased that I found this sight. Thankyou to the Cold Calling Database

I also have had the number 01162492630 call every day. I got caught out by answering a survey previous and i guess they got my details….told i was not interested, and they got pushy. They still call and found one answer..tell them where to go…if not report for harassment

and this company doesn’t cold call, if they’re are calling you it’s because someone has given them your number and permission to call it.
if you don’t want them to call then just contact them and ask for your number to be removed.

when i say i can’t talk, that i’m at work, they hang up and call again the next day. i’ve had to start screening all my calls.

Thanks to this website I found out who 01162492630 actually are. Thank you. I have had several “out of area” calls at home that I’ve ignored, and when I got to work today the number above had called at around the same time as I had a missed call at home yesterday. So glad I didn’t answer the phone!!

01162492630 called me and said I had made a mortgage enquiry.Caught me off guard and as I had made some enquiries a few months before(6 months)thought it was something to do with that.Was very persuasive and asked for some further details from me ie date of birth how much i owed,term of mortgage.He said he would see what he would do and ring me back.Didnt even want a new mortgage as i only remortgaged in february but he was very persuasive,saying he would beat what i was paying now even with the fees i would have to pay to leave current lender(ties in for 2 years).Never phoned back.Am quite angry that he seems to have conned information out of me to sell on.Have tried calling number back to no avail.

AWD Home Finance are a subsidary of AWD PLC, who are a huge German Financial enterprise. AWD Home Finance is based in Leicester UK.
They do not cold call, as all customers would have stated that they wanted to reduce outgoing on some form at some time in the not neccessarily recent past.
They have a high 1.95% fee, do not offer whole of market products, and have a very pushy and arrogant sales force.
There are much better brokers out there. You should never need to use AWD Home Finance.
You will not receive any customer service, particulalry once you have signed.

I used to work for 2 years at AWD Home finance who used to be called Carrington Carr. We were taught to be very aggressive and we would always charge extortionate fees to customers for doing something they could quite easily do themselves!!!! Around 5K!!!!

I also worked there for quite some time, and hated myself for the way I was told to treat people. Pardeep is right. Avoid.
In the eyes of the law they do not cold call, but they might as well, as the data was such poor quality.

We found them on the net as we are looking to remortgage had a salesman call last night we had 2hrs of questions on reflection i am now slightly worried about the details we gave what should i do?

If you do get a call from AWD DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. I have first hand knowledge of them. Their fees are high, their Mortgage “Advisers” are on a low basic wage and make most if not all of their money from commission. They are trained to use the mortgage as a means to sell protection products such as Payment Protection and life insurances, the more they sell the more they earn.
